Lots of images

#9 – Lots of Images

I feel as if I have been holding back and to some extent that is true. This hesitance is due more to time and the effort it takes to load all these images, but my patient readers deserve a relief with lots of photos, so here goes.

I’m going to go backwards a bit to bring everyone up to date, so bear with me if you’ve seen some of these before – together they tell a story.

Remember when the house looked like this?

On the way it looked like this --

Well then it went to this --

And then Jonathan did a bunch of drawings trying to determine how to design and place the siding - a combination of vertical and horizontal -

And now it looks like this --

Pretty amazing transformation. I don't know about you, but I just love the combination of the siding, the coloring of the window trim and the roof shingles, the contrasts, the textures, the lines. To me it exudes personality, somthing Jonathan and I are nothing short on (after all it is a relfection of us), and I see a soul emerging, a flavor, a feel. It excites me and engages me, which is convenient since I plan to live there.

But enough of the outside - here's what's also happening on the inside - wher you will need to use a little bit more imagination since there are few walls, and lots of holes in what used to be walls.

The Kitchen Progress -

Aside from what I've written about the process of choosing, inside the framing has been moving a long. There will be a big pow wow this coming Tuesday with myself, Steve and Bill who is building the kitchen. Bill will be able to take actual measurements and he and Steve can discuss all the plumbing and electrical placements. In particular there will be a lot of discussion of the bar area - its the smallest part of the kitchen but shaping up to be among the most complex detail.

Appreciation Friday was probably the last day the guys could eat out on the deck (this section is soon to be removed). It was a sunny, warm day in mid November, which helped work proceed on the exterior with out delay.

More process shots

And up to date pics of the kitchen - sorry no walls yet --

Gotta go, but more pics next week on master suite, new office upstairs, new stairwell, new studio, new 1/2 bath - new, new, new - it's going great - keep on visiting ther site.

Until then
